One of the things I have desperately missed about Alaska - (and most of my fellow Alaskans go "What?" when I tell them this) is the moon. I really LOVE moonlight. Especially when it's filtering through naked, frosted trees in January and pours across the snow. I love the eerie and beautiful atmosphere it creates. One thing I have always loved to do is gaze at it while I listen to Debussy's "Clair de Lune". As cheesy as it sounds, when I listen to it - its like I have this romantic connection between myself and nature. Its just me and that beautiful ball of light. Yeah. Maybe its true about moon-gazing and how is been known to make folks looney.....
